I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s seen that Foursquare is the next Twitter. While I’m excited for the next big thing, I’m sad because I’ve been begging and pleading for Foursquare to come to Knoxville since it launched back in March…and still to no avail : ( I just have to watch as friends in bigger cities talk about how awesome it is. So please, Foursquare, come to Knoxville. We have cool things to see and do here too…even if we are a small city.

“Personal branding” is a buzz phrase I hear almost daily. We all know it’s important to have one, especially in a world where jobs can be hard to come by. Yes, I tweet when I like a movie and I’ve seen those I follow do the same. However [...]

We all know about brand loyalty. We either like Coke or Pepsi, PC or Mac, Google or Bing…but are social medium fan-bases divided by brand loyalty as well? Or will they become divided as networks like Facebook and Twitter continue to evolve? Last week, Facebook bought Friendfeed and launched Facebook light – two things which somehow seem to be moves [...]

In today’s Web 2.0 world, everyone has a voice and word-of-mouth is more powerful than ever. Of course, you can’t please everyone all the time, but it’s important for companies to recognize that they at least need to care about their customers, otherwise something like this will happen…About a year ago when musician Dave Carroll flew United Airlines [...]
