		<description>Nicole, you&#039;re not alone in your anger. I also own a pit bull, and I&#039;m outraged that a publication like Parade would feed into the media frenzy against this helpless breed. It&#039;s not the dogs, people -- it&#039;s the owners. Prime examples of this are the pits from Michael Vick&#039;s property. I followed this case from start to finish, but I rarely heard anything about what happened to the dogs. Fortunately, something good has come out of this tragic situation. My love for this breed has moved me to do my part in showing my family, friends, neighbors and community that my dog is not a risk. He’s a loving, sweet, and people-friendly dog. Anyone who throws aside their misinformed perception quickly realizes this, and that he is not a threat. It&#039;s hard not to feel helpless in this situation, but I’m grateful that there are people like you taking the time to inform others that this is simply not right.</description>
